Story of my Human Life

Well for starters my real name is Chris Robert Brainard (but nobody calls me that any more). I was born on the east coast of the United States and have traveled around the country, living in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Louisiana, California, Wisconsin, Colorado and Portland Oregon. I was born 11/10/68 in Leominster Mass., at 7:30am for all you astrology folks. That makes me a Scorpio II (sun) and Cancer moon.

Presently I have moved back to Greenfield Mass to be closer to family. I am working on an on-line education system called webcms. That has taken up most of the year 2000 so I haven't put that much time into Lavendise.

Before moving back to Mass I was living in Portland again. It was really great being there and seeing old friends. I am involved with a wonderful woman named Kathren. Things in my life changed alot and I had to move.

I was living in Golden, Colorado, land of Coors Beer, which I don't care for, but it is beautiful here and everything worked out a lot better than in San Fran. I worked up in Boulder and did desktop publishing. It was really great to meet up with my old friend Elane who I had lost touch with for 10 years and she found me through my website! I was spending time with my great fae friend Sesa and I am interested in working with her with plant magic and the faeries. After about 3 months I moved to Boulder and got a much better job doing web design. Then I moved in with my friend Mike who was also my boss and I got to learn Authorware and live in Denver. You can check out our Ballooning pictures! We started our own site called the Multimedia Farm, but that hasn't taken off.

I lived in San Francisco for 6 months.  It is a  beautiful city and you can make some great money there, as there are lots of hi-tech jobs in the area. Before San Fran, I was working at a community in upstate NY for the past year called Omega Institute. It is a great place and I have had a lot of fun times over the last year.

Before that it was Portland Oregon where I lived until March 1997. It has been a wonderful home to me over the last 5 years. This is where I started Lavendise. I used to own a business advertising companies on the Internet, called Sea Horse Design.

I like to drink coffee but have to quit. When I was in Oregon there was a wonderful coffee shop 4 blocks from my house called Common Grounds and a really cool English pub 1 block away called the Horse Brass, with lots of yummy micro-brew, they also have the best fish and chips in town. 

I am a romantic at heart and love deep conversation, as well as believing in honesty and communication. I love to do lots of great activities (such as rock climbing, movies, biking, reading, driving nowhere, hang-out and do dull things with friends like their laundry, go dancing, play and have fun) and will try just about anything at least once.

I often listen Cat Stevens, The Presidents of the United States, Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits The Pixies, and Sarah Mclachlan to name a few. I have a deep love for spirituality.

My mother goes to Harvard and used to run a holistic college in Vermont, and be a midwife.  My father is a systems analyst, for a company in Virginia. They are divorced, but friends. I also have two sisters and one half brother who now has his own baby girl.
